What’s in My Carry On Bag?

Fashion, Lifestyle, simplicity, Slow Fashion, style, Travel

Hey you guys. I’m going to be continuing with talking about my travels and all. So today I’m going to be showing you what’s in my carry on bag. Then on Friday, I’ll most likely have an outfit post like normal, however, that may change. Anyway, let’s get on with this post. I got on Polyvore today to basically simulate what garments I’m taking with me to on my trip. I seriously thought this would be easier than taking my own pictures, but boy was I wrong. Next time I travel, I will be taking my own pictures for sure! Some garments pictured are the actual garments, but some are not.

Altogether, I am bringing 20 items with me, not including undies, bralettes, and bras. Let’s break that down:

6 tops (two tees, two muscle tees, one tank, one l/s shirt)

4 bottoms (leggings, boyfriend jeans, skinny jeans, shorts)

4 dresses (two tee dresses, two going out dresses)

3 pairs of shoes (boots, heels, sneakers)

3 jackets (leather jacket, cardigan, cropped denim jacket)

Currently, the weather in Spain is pretty hot during the day and then very cool at night. Specifically, in Seville, it’s been reaching about 90 degrees…so I’m going to need some wiggle room as far as my outfits go. However, I still don’t think I over packed at all. If I under packed, I can still shop while I’m there. I’m pretty content with what I’m taking, especially the black tee – let me explain.

A black tee can go from day into night in my opinion. So those nights I’m not going out I can purchase a skirt and a nice scarf and pair it with my tee. I could even knot the tee in the front or the back to make it slightly cropped. I feel like my options are pretty endless with a simple black tee if styled correctly.

So a little bit about my favorite items that I’m bringing, now. My boyfriend jeans are a fave because they’re so easy to style! I can wear them with all the shoes I’m bringing and they can go into the night with any of my tees or muscle tees! The blue dress I love because its so simple and I can pair it with my Vans. This can also go into the night with a leather jacket and my heels or boots. I’ve been obsessed with the Au Revoir tee since I first saw it online at Madewell. I said I was going to purchase it and I finally did last week. It’s very thick but soft and breathable. This will probably be my “touristy” outfit! My Vans are a favorite because they’re Vans and I will probably be in them the most.

I couldn’t forget about the outfit I’ll be flying in! I’ll be in gray joggers and a simple white tee and my Vans. Then I’m going to wear my cardigan so that I do not get cold on the plane. I want to be as comfortable as possible and this is probably the most comfortable outfit I own. I’m here for it! I may switch to my rose pink joggers (just as comfy) so that I can arrive in style at the very least.

That is all for this post I hope that you guys enjoy it! Thanks for reading

A Post About the Beach

Beauty, Fashion, Lifestyle, simplicity, Travel, Uncategorized

Yesterday, I made my way to the beach, which is why I did not post. I’m here today though! I wanted to share some pictures with you guys and talk about my grand ‘ol time at Ocean City.

Now, Ocean City isn’t my first beach of choice, but that didn’t stop it from still being a beach! I LOVE the water and being near it, so I was extremely happy!

These were me and my friend’s beach “essentials” – the quotations because the Instax cameras were completely unnecessary, but made the experience that much better.

My mom got this really cool bag in her PopSugar Box and decided to lend it to me for the day. The bag is by Stephanie Johnson and apparently, she makes other really cool bags as well. The bag was perfect for the beach because it doesn’t get sandy or wet! Also, it’s super cute!

Obviously, I had to take pictures with the Instax camera, hence why I brought it along with me. I was a little nervous about the pictures developing because of how bright it was outside, but most of the pictures turned out so well!

And of course, I had to speak about my swimsuit that I got from CupShe. I ordered it last month for my Miami trip. It is a super cute swimsuit, but it does not fit in my slow fashion parameters whatsoever. The bottoms are slightly too big, however, I didn’t get in the water because it was FREEZING!

Overall, the trip was really fun and wasn’t too bad of a drive at all. I hope to go at least one more time this Summer. I’ll be sure to take even more pictures if I do go and post them on another blog post as well as my Instagram!

Miami Travels

Beauty, Lifestyle, simplicity, style, Travel, Uncategorized

So yes I know that I’ve abandoned you guys once again, but I’ve been thoroughly enjoying myself in the beautiful city of Miami. I had an amazing time there, which I’m sure if you follow me on Instagram you can see for yourself. I thought I would just come on here and just briefly talk about my time in Miami along with some pictures! Read till the end if you’re participating in my giveaway.

I didn’t get a chance to take any pictures of my outfits because I spent so much time in my swimsuit either by the pool or on the beach. I think it’s safe to say that Florida has some of the best beaches, but I’m no expert of course.

When in Miami you just have to drink no matter what time it is. When it’s 10 AM the only acceptable drink to drink is a mimosa even though the price is hiked ALL the way up.

The hotel I stayed in was called the Standard and it was everything but standard. The pool is located right by the bay on Venetian Island. I’m almost embarrassed to say that I spent copious amounts of time by the pool instead of the beach.

So you guys know I’m a self-proclaimed foodie and found this place on South Beach called Naked Taco. I can honestly say…BEST. TACOS. EVER! I had the chicken and mango salsa tacos which I’m going to have to remake at home because – YES! I also couldn’t leave Miami without getting my hands on a Miami Vice (strawberry daiquiri mixed with a pina colada.)

IMG_5851On my last full day, I had breakfast by the pool and that was just amazing! This is the prettiest and tastiest Huevos Rancheros I have ever had! I’m not a huge fan of avocados, but I ate these without even thinking about it.

So I’m sure you can tell that I LOVED Miami and I will be going back at some point. I think it’s a good place to do a weekend trip with friends to just get away. I will say I am happy to be back in the D.C. area because this is home to me now.

If you’re in my giveaway or want to participate in my giveaway, remember that it ends tomorrow and the winner will be announced Monday, June 5th, 2017. Good luck!
