Bodysuit & Jeans Outfit of the Day

Welcome back to Fashion Fridays! Is it just me or are these weeks just going by super fast? I feel like I was just typing up last Fridays fashion post. Today’s post is going to be a little bit shorter as well as a little different than my last few outfit of the days.

So, of course, I’m going to show my favorite outfit of the week because I don’t know if you guys realized but that’s what I’ve been doing in my last few Friday posts. Anyway, the focus of this post is my new bodysuit and my hair.

I purchased this very pretty bodysuit from American Eagle and let me tell you…it’s really soft! I normally have issues with bodysuits fitting a little tight because of my long torso but this one is actually all right. I’m really like the lace-up trend because it really flatters us girls with itty bitty boobies and gives the illusion of cleavage.

The jeans are also from American Eagle and I wear these all the time. I want to say that they are my favorite, but I also really love my Lucky Brand Jeans. Am I allowed to have more than one favorite jean?

Now let’s talk about these shoes real quick. My mom gave me these because she couldn’t fit them. YAY for bomb hand me downs right?! These are Lucky Brand ballet flats and I’m in love because they actually look like ballet slippers. Also, I’m really fond of Lucky Brand because the quality of the majority of their products is amazing!

Okay now onto the hair. So I’ve been protective styling my hair like a mad woman because my hair keeps plateauing right at armpit length. I find myself trimming my ends quite a bit because they’re thin and have a ton of split ends. Out of frustration and a little desperation, I have been keeping my hair up and out of the way in hopes, I’ll start seeing more growth.

Annnd that is all for today, you guys. I hope you all enjoyed this fashion post. I really want to get better at taking these pictures and making them look a little more professional. Thanks for reading!

Boyfriend Jeans Outfit of the Day

Fashion, Lifestyle, Minimalism, simplicity, Slow Fashion, style

It’s been awhile since I’ve done a fashion post so why not now? I think the rest of the week and next Monday I will be posting just fashion…unless of course that changes. Okay now onto the outfit!

So, it’s a really mild day today, in fact, it’s pretty chilly out. I decided to where my new Lucky Brand boyfriend jeans that I am so in love with and a long sleeve black shirt. I also grabbed my new North Face rain coat and slid into my gray Zara sneakers. Obviously, I didn’t do it up with my outfit, but I LOVE this look because it’s still so chic yet comfortable.

I didn’t realize how much I needed boyfriend jeans until I actually had them. I love how they can go with just about anything, including heels or a nice crop top.

I also didn’t realize how essential a raincoat was until I didn’t have one for the last two years. Fun fact about me, I lose umbrellas like nobody’s business. I just purchased an umbrella about three weeks ago and I’m pretty sure it’s lost into oblivion.

I’ve worn this look so many times already and I just can’t get enough of it. I really am excited to change it up as it gets a little bit warmer. I’ll be sure to keep you guys in the loop when I do.

How to Rock an Oversized Sweater-Coat

Fashion, Slow Fashion, style, Uncategorized

Yesterday was super windy and it was also 60 degrees! I thought it would be a good time to wear my Madewell sweater coat to test it out. Initially, I wasn’t sure how to wear this coat. Does it look okay with a dress or jeans and long sleeve t-shirt? Every time I put it on, I feel like it looks like I’m wearing a robe so I wanted to make sure it didn’t look that way when I went out in public.

I went with jeans and a long sleeve t-shirt – very basic, but I didn’t want anything to clash.

So, I fell in love after seeing the pictures that my mother took. If you read my Refining Your Style post, one of my tips is that you should take pictures of your outfits to make sure they flatter your body.

Even though this sweater coat is oversized, it does in fact, flatter pretty well.

This was my first real fashion post and I have to say that I really enjoyed doing this. I may do this every now and again to show some of my slow fashion pieces! I hope you all enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed sharing.
