Super Simple White Sangria Recipe

Guess whose back with another sangria recipe? It’s me. I thought it would be a great time to share another fruity libation because Memorial Day is quickly creeping around the corner. I know families will still probably be stuck inside this year instead of attending cookouts or Memorial Day tributes so why not enjoy some refreshing sangria! If you haven’t read my red sangria recipe go ahead and check that out now. This time I won’t be too long-winded with this one and get straight to the point.

First, you’re going to need some white wine. I like to use Pinot Grigio or Moscato in my white sangrias, but the choice is yours depending on how sweet or dry you want it. Also, you can mix two different blends if that’s your thing. Then you’re going to need a juice base just like with the red sangria. I love white grape juice, but for this recipe, I’m using pineapple juice because I am going for a sweeter flavor.

Next choose your liquor. I only use tequila in my white sangrias because I think it tastes the best with the wine. I also tend to reach for a smooth-ish tequila but not something that will overpower the sangria. For instance, I use Altos or Avion and avoid tequilas like Jose Cuervo or Casamigos. These two have very distinct flavors and will leave you with a lingering aftertaste. However, the choice is yours of course. I’ll be using Altos Reposado for this recipe.

Don’t forget your liqueur. I love my St-Germain but I ran out so I just used Peach Schnapps. Now, the fruit. Again, this just depends on how sweet you want it but I’m using Honeycrisp apples and white peaches…that’s it! You can add any other fruit you want, but I was going for a super simple and straightforward idea here. Because this is going to be on the sweeter side, I’m only using agave as my sweetener but simple syrup is always an option. Okay, let’s get to it!

Ingredients:

2 Honeycrisp Apples

2 White Peaches

1.5 Liter Pinot Grigio

2.5 Shots of Altos Tequila

1.5 Shots of Peach Schnapps

1/2-3/4 cup of Pineapple Juice

1/4 -1/3 cup of Agave

Instructions:

  1. Cut your apples and peaches into wedges or slices. Place fruit into a pitcher.
  2. Pour wine into the pitcher until the bottle is empty or until the pitcher is 3/4 full. Add shots of tequila, liqueur, and pineapple juice. Stir.
  3. Add agave. Stir and taste. The flavors haven’t set in just yet but it should taste fairly sweet but not too sweet at this point.
  4. Add in anything you may think is missing or leave as is.
  5. Refrigerate for 6-12 hours.
  6. Enjoy!

Tips:

  • To enjoy right away, muddle fruit with the back of spoon or muddler. Add ice and sip away.
  • Add sparkling water directly to your glass for a more refreshing experience
  • If you want something a little lighter, forgo the liquor and add 3-4 lemon slices to the recipe.

It’s that easy! I’ve been experimenting with different flavors over the last couple of weeks with white sangrias and so far this is one of the best. I have to admit, I do have a better recipe but I’m not willing to share. 👀  This one is a very close second and it’s extremely easy compared to my red sangria. I hope you guys try this recipe or save it for later. I really enjoy coming up with different recipes, so leave a comment if you try this or want me to share other recipes.

Thanks for reading,
