3 IG Accounts to Follow for Organization Inspo
I’ve been on a huge organization kick since this COVID-19 lockdown started. Honestly, the only things that are keeping me somewhat sane are organizing, working out, and wine. Eventually, I’m going to talk about it all on here because content is sparse these days. Anyway, organizing right now is so important at this time because you’re just in your house possibly surrounded by clutter and it can be really maddening. It’s not really avoidable at this point, especially because we don’t know how long we’ll be quarantined so might as well create some organized, aesthetically pleasing spaces in your home. Keep reading if you want some IG inspiration on getting organized during this lockdown.
Not only do I follow this account, but I also own their book! They break down the whole process of organizing into categories from decluttering to the actual organizing. But if you’re just following their IG, they mostly just post projects they’ve done already along with some quotes. Currently, they have a month-long challenge going on while we’re all stuck in quarantine. If you do happen to stumble upon their book, their process does give off OCD vibes. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing at all but if you follow their method to a tee, you’re really going to WORK for it.
The Neat Method and the Home Edit are very similar in their process. However, the Neat Method is definitely more minimal and simplistic – which you’ll be able to tell on their IG page. Personally, I’m not the biggest fan of the stark surfaces look, mostly because it just doesn’t work for me. Also, I think the minimal look is a little played out and lacks that “lived in” feeling. Of course, that’s just my opinion. I do however like the way they organize storage that’s inside of a unit such as drawers, closets, and cabinet spaces. If you’re into minimal organization and surfaces then definitely give @neatmethod a look.
I’m actually new to this page myself, but so far I love the way they organize everything! They’re so “everyone” friendly…meaning any type of person can follow along and get things organized pretty quickly. I especially love their use of acrylic containers and how multi-purposed they can be. Their process seems to be very straightforward and simplistic. They really seem to believe in the phrase “everything has a home,” and aren’t afraid to have a collection of “things” in the posts. I know it seems like this lockdown has gone on forever now and everything is up in the air. So if you’re slowly losing your mind, then I recommend organizing some spaces in your house. I know that medicine cabinet of yours needs some love and so does that kitchen cabinet. I know it. 😉 We’ll get through this tough time one day at a time. Everyone stay safe and stay healthy out there!
