Spotlight: Mansur Gavriel Bucket Bag

I’ll never forget the day I told my mom I was ready to wear a purse. I was maybe 10 years old and it was this denim crossbody bag that I probably got from the Post Exchange. Long story short, I left this bag everywhere – in the mall, at church, and even at the park. I could not for the life of me remember to keep up with this purse. It got so bad that I decided not to really carry a bag unless it was a backpack throughout my school days. Now, adult me loves a good purse especially a good, structured crossbody bag with a bucket shape.

After I graduated from college, my love for bucket bags flourished. There is something so easy and effortless about a bucket bag that just screams…me. I love the fact that these purses are literally bottomless and you can fit so much into them. I’m one of those people who bring my whole lip gloss collection, hand sanitizer, and baby wipes with me everywhere, so space is definitely needed. Currently, I am carrying the Mansur Gavriel Flamma bucket bag. Ok, first of all, I’ve wanted a Mansur for about two years now after seeing one of my favorite YouTubers sport one. Second, this is by far one of the most structured bucket bags that I’ve ever owned.

The reason why I’ve always wanted a Mansur Gavriel purse is because of how low key the brand is. While I love Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and Gucci, it’s always nice to have a bag that isn’t easily recognizable at first glance. This is especially true if you’re a first-time luxury/high-end handbag owner. I love Mansur because they have classic styles with all their bags while still being pretty modern. They also have a decent size range as well as a price range to match each size. This is great if you don’t necessarily want to splurge $500+ just yet.

Now, this isn’t necessarily a review, but I do want to say this bag is worth every penny. I know some can’t see spending over $200 on a bucket bag, but I’ll have this thing for the next ten years probably. I don’t see myself growing out of this style of bag for a while. At least with this purse, I know I won’t see deterioration for a long while, which is something I have seen in my other cheaper bags.

What designer bag have you always wanted to get your hands on?
