My Updated Skincare Routine

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while now, then you know how much I have started loving skincare. Even just looking at skincare on Instagram does it for me these days. Over the past few months, I have updated my skincare routine and would like to share it with you all today!

My morning routine is still the same – I don’t use a cleanser to wash my face, just lukewarm water. I tone and then I moisturize. I’ve recently started using this amazing cleansing toner that actually makes my skin feel softer after use. If you’re into Korean Skincare then you’ve probably heard of the Acwell Licorice pH Balancing Cleansing Toner. Yes, I recommend this to anyone with any type of skin issues.

After toning, I follow up with the Sunday Riley Juno Facial Oil. I’m pretty sure I’m never going to give up this oil. The price is up there, but it is absolutely worth it and they also have a mini size too! After this, I usually just go straight to my makeup routine.

Now, nighttime is always different depending on if I have to mask or do a treatment. I start off by cleansing with the Boscia Charcoal Cleansing Stick that I love so dearly. I actually just ran out of it last night and I’m not sure what I can possibly replace it with. I do have plans on repurchasing it, but of course, I would like to try out some other cleansers before I make my return.

Next, I’ll tone with the Acwell Toner and moisturize with the Sunday Riley Juno Oil, the Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Oil, and the Philosophy Renewed Hope in a Jar. I know that’s a lot of moisture! I find that when I layer on all of these moisturizers, the better my skin feels. Also, it’s still winter weather (dry skin) despite it actually being Spring now.

Now, some nights I’ll add in some vitamin C with the CosRx Triple C Lightning Liquid after toning and forgo the Luna Sleeping Oil. Other nights, I’ll again forgo the Luna Sleeping Oil and layer on a Sleeping Mask like the Glow Recipe Watermelon Sleeping Mask. If I’m using my Leahlani Mermaid Mask to rid of any pimples, I’ll tone, put on my oils, and then apply my cream moisturizer just like my normal routine.

I hope that wasn’t confusing, but if it was

Hopefully, that made it a little bit easier if you were confused. So that’s my updated skincare routine. I will most likely have another updated one in a few months, but I really do like this one for now!

As always, thanks for reading

Oh my goodness, I really have to work on a better skincare routine – yours is amazing! I usually just cleanse, tone (if I’m feeling inspired), then moisturise with either day or night cream, depending on the time of day 😉 I will do better!

That Charcoal Cleansing Stick really looks very interesting! I would love to try that. I also like how you don’t use a cleanser in the morning! I’ve found that most effective for me too, I rarely use them now because they just dry out and strip my skin rather than doing anything helpful!

    • ChelsiKay

Yes the cleansing stick is something else! For charcoal, it’s oddly gentle. Omg yes! Not washing my face in the morning improved my skin way better than any cleanser. Thanks for reading! 🙂

Hello, I see you have implemented some Korean products into your beauty routine. Have you noticed a difference in your skin evenness with the CosRx Triple C Lightning Liquid? If not which product would you recommend for hyper pigmentation? Also have you tried Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence?

    • ChelsiKay

Yes I have. I actually wrote a blog post on the Cosrx Triple C Lightening Liquid. That worked wonders for my hyper pigmentation. I have not tried the Snail Mucin Essence yet, but I would love to!
