A Post about New York City…Sort of

I think one of the coolest things about the East Coast is how close everything is. Don’t get me wrong, I still have mad love for the West Coast, but I think specifically where I reside; I’m in a good place for EVERYTHING. I’m only a 3 1/2 hour drive from New York and a 14-hour drive from Florida. I can finally say I’ve done both now!

Thursday, my mom and I went up to Jersey City for something top secret, but after the top secret thing we took a short train ride over to New York – The Oculus to be exact. Now, I’ve been to NYC before, but only Fashion and 5th Avenue really. One of these days, I’m going to make a whole trip out of New York and not only see it in snippets.

The Oculus is pretty interesting looking and by interesting…it’s kind of an eyesore at least on the outside. On the inside, it’s a stark white train station and a Westfield Shopping Center. I’m not quite sure how I feel about shopping and eating at Ground Zero, but if the native New Yorkers don’t mind then neither do I?

Of course, I couldn’t go without taking pictures of my outfit…who do you think I am?! All you can really see is that I’m rocking my new Express coat and a scarf I stole from Mom. Underneath, I have on a white tee and my American Eagle dark wash jeans.

I wish I could tell you all more about the top secret mission we went on, but I cannot! However, you will find out later this month so keep an eye out for that post. I know this post may have been a little lackluster, but I am TIRED! I think I may be in need for a vacation very very soon.
