5 Tips on How to Always Look Good
Okay so I absolutely suck, I know! I let last week get away from me and once again did not post. I will at least try to do better this week. While this week is packed with work and more work, I think I can manage to post a few things throughout the week.
However, I am just going to post a video, but don’t worry I have a written version just in case some of you don’t like videos like that.
Today, I’m going to give my very own tips on how to always looks good, put together and just effortless! Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I do think I usually look pretty put together about 80% of the time…toot toot. Keep reading if you want to know some of my tips!
1.Have clear skin.
Ok so even for me this is a weird one because I don’t have clear skin. So if you’ve got acne prone skin or dark spots then we’re just going to have to work to get clear skin and give the illusion that we have clear skin. So of course, you’re going to want a nice simple skincare routine. Start off with a cleanser, a toner, and a moisturizer that works best for your skin. You’re also going to want to have a simple and easy makeup routine as well. A no makeup-makeup look is always a good go-to to give the appearance of clear skin.
2. Do your hair.
This is a big one for me because if the hair doesn’t look right, then nothing looks right. Find a few styles that suit you best and stick to them, even if it is just a messy bun. My go-to style is usually a two strand twist to frame my face and a loose ponytail. I also love a good puff with some curly tendrils. When my hair is straight, I typically rock a high bun or two dutch braids going straight back.
3. Have a uniform
I think most of you who read my blog saw this one coming. I’m notorious for basically wearing the same thing every day, but switching it up with a sweater, blouse, or hoodie. Occasionally a dress may be added to the mix. My uniform (my base) is usually jeans or leggings and a tank top. This is mainly for the fall, winter, and spring…in the summer it could really vary. Having a uniform just makes it a whole lot easier to get dressed in the morning in my opinion.
4. Accessorize
I’m still not the greatest at accessorizing, except with earrings. I’m not a huge bracelet wearer due to my teeny wrists, but if I find something dainty I’ll wear it. I do love that chokers have made a comeback, so I usually gravitate towards those. Personally, I consider my outerwear an accessory. Imagine having on all black and wearing a red or green, or houndstooth overcoat. I think I might need a red overcoat now…
5. Have some confidence
I know this is easier said than done, but you may just have to fake it ’till you make it. Boost yourself up every so often. When you feel good, you typically look good. Once you get the hang of doing tips 1-4 you’ll probably feel more confident or at the very least, more put together due to all of the routines.
I hope these are useful to you all and I hope you may even take some of these into consideration. Thank you for reading even when I disappear! Check back on Wednesday for another post that I haven’t even drafted out yet…
