A DIY Halloween Costume

Tomorrow is Halloween you guys and I would be excited except I already partied over the weekend. I had my little fun, but now its time to get back to work and reality. I’m not one to buy a costume nor DIY this super intricate one either. My costumes tend to be pretty last minute and I almost always own the things that I need.

This year I went as a ninja…okay, a sexy ninja. I wasn’t really going for the typical sexy look, but hey it happens! So really all I did was wear my usual going out clothes which is high waisted leggings and a crop top – black of course. I went with a sleeveless turtleneck this time. I ordered a really cheap ($7) ski mask (2pack) off of Amazon and just wore the bottom part to cover my mouth and nose. You can also just tie a bandana or forgo both and wear a hoodie. The look is pretty much complete, but if you want to, you can cut some stockings into removable sleeves. I did this and I felt that it tied the costume together.

Of course, since my eyes were the only thing showing, I went really dark with my eye makeup. I used my brand new ABH Subculture palette and did a purple, rust, and dark brown smoky eye. I also twisted my hair into four flat twists because I felt that a fro or a puff would take away from the ninja-ness.

If you don’t want to be this sexy, you can always change up the costume however you want. I did plan on wearing another costume tomorrow if I were to attend a party. I was going to wear the same outfit sans ski mask and add a tutu. I would probably just wear a long sleeve shirt versus a crop top as well. Instant ballerina. I DIY my costumes every year and I just use clothes that I already wear!

I hope you all liked this post, thanks for reading.
