OOTD: Happy Autumnal Equinox

Happy Autumnal Equinox everyone! You all should know by now that I’m happy because this means the hot gross weather will soon be gone! Seriously, I’m getting pretty tired of sweating in places I’d rather not be sweating!

Anywho, welcome back to Fashion Fridays! It seems like it’s been weeks since I’ve posted an outfit of the day but it’s only been just one week. It seems the last few times I have worn a picture-worthy outfit I’ve been in Georgetown, D.C. I really love it there because it’s so cosmopolitan, but also so historic. If you ever find yourself in the Washington, D.C. area then definitely visit Georgetown.

Remember a few posts back when I was speaking of future purchases? Well, I got my hands on that perfect American Apparel tee dress. I’m pretty sure I’m going to be wearing it A LOT. I can wear it out dancing, to happy hour, or just to the coffee shop to chill or work. When I wore it to Georgetown two days ago, I was just working in the coffee shop, so I dressed it down.

I paired it with some super old booties from Forever 21. I’m in need of some casual flat ankle booties or at least I will be. I can feel these boots starting to wear at the soles and that just doesn’t seem safe.

I also paired the dress with a denim jacket from Levi’s…at least I started off that way. Of course around noon, it got pretty hot out and the jacket had to come off. It was even a little hot for the dress considering it is all black. I may have to pull this back out on a cooler or even cloudier day for sure.

Oh, and my curls are twisted up into cute little twists. I decided to do this one day because I was so sick of styling my hair. I also didn’t want to add extensions so this was a great happy medium for me. What do you all think?

That’s all for today! Check back Monday for a new post!
