Glossier Priming Moisturizer Review

Ok, I totally went MIA on Wednesday and yesterday and I apologize for that. I got so caught up in planning a party and posting just completely slipped my mind. I’m not really sure how I let this product get past me because I have been using it every day!

I’m not really sure how I let this product get past me because I have been using it every day!

So I have been using the Glossier Priming Moisturizer for a few weeks now and I’m pretty much in love. The difference from when I use it and when I don’t is pretty incredible. My foundation or tinted moisturizer goes on SO much smoother and stays on longer too.

Here’s a little blurb about the Priming Moisturizer: “Priming” means that it instantly brings out the best in your skin, so you have a fresh, glowing canvas that’s ready for makeup (but looks so good you might want to wear less). The ideal base for Perfecting Skin Tint, it visibly plumps skin up with moisture to create cushiony bounce and an even texture, which helps minimize the appearance of pores—minus any heavy blurring ingredients. The anti-redness complex soothes and evens skin tone, leaving a clean, dewy, balanced finish. This comforting cream allows you to layer and build up to the perfect amount of moisture depending on climate, season, or how your skin’s feeling on any given day.

If you’ve ever painted on canvas before and use gesso… it’s kind of the same principle – you’re priming your canvas before creating your masterpiece. This is one of the first primers I’ve used that actually moisturizes AND primes and doesn’t leave my skin feeling strange. Pretty much any primer I’ve used in the past has dried my skin out or made it overly oily. In fact, I stopped using primer for about two years until I got my hands on this Glossier Priming Moisturizer.

The price of this moisturizer is pretty affordable retailing at just $25 for quite a bit of product because a little really does go a long way in this instance. I like to apply this morning only before putting on my makeup. This isn’t really a good nighttime moisturizer in my opinion because it is very lightweight.

This priming moisturizer contains hyaluronic acid which tends to take moisture from its surroundings so be sure when using this product, (or any product with hyaluronic acid) that your skin is already hydrated. You MAY need to apply a hydrating mist of some sort before applying this Glossier primer or else you may notice some dryness.

Overall, I am head over heels for this product! One of these days my whole skin care routine might be Glossier because I just love their whole simple skin care and make up aesthetic. I’m definitely going to be keeping this baby in my skin care arsenal and yes I will most likely be repurchasing! Thanks for reading!
