Good Hair Day and OOTD

It seems like I’m always trying to get my hair to do right the majority of the time. Most of the time it sits just fine on top my cute little head until about Day 4. At that point, it gets dry, tangled and dull looking.

I’m aware that all I need to do is add moisture back, which I typically do but for some reason, it just never truly gets moisturized. So, I’m not going to make this all long and drawn out, but last night I did an Ayurveda oil pre-poo and then I conditioned just like normal. When I was drying my hair it was soaking wet and continued to drip water as I was braiding it….this never EVER happens. My hair is usually dry within 15 minutes after washing. This is when I realized that my hair wasn’t retaining moisture like it should be and was literally sucking up any moisture that it possibly could. I will expand on the Ayurveda world in another blog post.

Anyway, this is my hair (spot the tiny feather) today as well as my outfit of the day. These Madewell shorts are everything to me. I was getting real sick of denim shorts riding up in the hot, humid weather.

They’re not too loose but not too tight and they sit perfectly just below my natural waist. I love how lightweight the cotton/viscose fabric is and it’s just great to wear in this hot summer weather.

The coolest part is that the shorts have these ties on the side that give the shorts a little more oomph. The only thing is, I wish these had pockets!! Pockets are always welcome in my wardrobe!

I paired the wonderful shorts with a bodysuit, which I did on a whim because I need to wash my white shirts. I actually like the look of the bodysuit almost better than a regular white tee. I think I may need a white bodysuit…

Well, that’s it for today. I promise I will give an update on the Ayurvedic hair treatments because that is something I NEED to talk about. Catch me on Wednesday for another post about something!
