Current Skin Care Routine

I haven’t broken out in almost three weeks now. I have one pimple right this second that was caused by my excessive dairy intake, but that is all. That is a record for me…by now my skin would be covered in a bunch of unsightly pimples that appeared out of thin air. I don’t know what it is about my current skincare routine, but my face likes it a lot! I bet you can already guess what I’ll be talking about today then – my current skincare routine!

First, I’m going to talk about the nighttime because that’s typically when I have the most steps.

So I do wear makeup – foundation, eyeliner, mascara, you know the usual. Therefore, it’s so important for me to do a first and second cleanse. I like to start off with either my Dr. Jart’s Dermaclear Micellar Water or my Boscia Makeup Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil to get my make up off. I gave up makeup wipes a long time ago because I felt that they were slightly too abrasive on my skin. After doing my first cleanse I normally just do whatever needs to be done at home before I move onto my second cleanse.

I’ve fallen in love with my Bosica Charcoal Deep Cleansing Stick because I feel like it really does do a nice deep cleanse without being too harsh. I honestly do think charcoal was one of the keys to keeping the pimples away for this long. Anything with charcoal or even clay might be my saving grace for my pesky acne-prone skin.

My next step is toning which I did not think was even important. Sometimes there can be leftover dirt or just leftover cleanser, which needs to come off. I use the Fresh Black Tea Age-Delay Instant Infusion Treatment Toner mainly for extra hydration.

Then I follow up with my Glossier Super Pure niacinamide serum which I think played a big role in keeping the pimples away as well…I mean that’s what it’s for.

I finish off the nighttime routine with the Dr. Jart’s Water Drop that is packed with lots of hydration. I like the Korean skincare brands lately…they work!

In the morning I rinse my face with lukewarm water and tone my face. I recently purchased this MISSHA Time Revolution Clear Toner from SokoGlam. The toner contains fermented yeast extract which promotes cellular turnover and a brighter, even skin tone. So far, I like it and it’s another Korean brand!

I apply the Glossier Super Pure again and then moisturize with the Dr. Jart’s Water Drop and I’m done!

On Wednesday’s or Thursday’s, I’ll usually do a mask. Lately, I’ve been reaching for my Leahlani Mermaid Mask…it’s almost time to purchase some more.

That’s really all I’ve been doing with my skin lately. I’m a little afraid to add any acids again that at some point I’ll add the First Aid Beauty Glycolic Pads back in since they are pretty gentle.

Sorry for posting so late today, I had another busy day and I didn’t want to completely neglect you guys again. So, thanks for reading!
