Implementing My Routine

Ok, so I am aware that I did not post on Friday. It was a very busy weekend that did not end too well, but I’m not going to let that stop me from getting up my posts this week! I planned on posting about how my routine for my room was going, but I’ll just do that today instead.

I wrote out a daily, weekly and monthly routine to keep my room nice and tidy. So far my daily routine is working out pretty well, but I’ve kind of slacked on my weekly routine except for my laundry. Hopefully this week I can actually do all of my clean room tasks.

My daily routine is just making up my bed and getting the glasses out of my room and into the dishwasher. I have a tendency to hoard glasses for some reason and it makes my room look so not neat. I also have a tendency to not put my shoes back on their shoe rack and leave my jackets on the foot of my bed.

My weekly routine consists of vacuuming and doing my laundry from washing all the way to folding. I despise folding my clothes just like everyone else…I’m trying to find a way where it’s cathartic rather than tedious. I also included tidying up any cluttered surfaces and watering my plants. I have a devil’s ivy plant and a bamboo plant that occasionally gets neglected.

By the time I reach my monthly routine, I shouldn’t have too much to do except vacuuming under my bed and other hard to reach areas. The rest of the tasks are things I may have to do if things aren’t really decluttered. If I pick up my room throughout the day and week then I won’t have to do too much on a monthly basis. I hope that all made sense.

I also want to dedicate some time to certain spots in my room that need to be cleaned or even decorated. I may even make blog posts about that because I really just want to simplify as well as organize my whole entire room. I really think that having a cleaning/organizing routine will help to achieve this goal in the long run. Let’s hope so anyway!

Thanks for reading.
