& Other Stories Georgetown Grand Opening

So I was really supposed to post Friday but it ended up being a really busy day. My initial plan was to get up and go to the Tyson’s Corner Mall and then go meet my boyfriend so that we could celebrate our friends birthday later that night.

What ended up happening was my mom and I went to Georgetown to attend the & Other Stories grand opening and from there, things just became really busy. I haven’t really shopped much on the & Other Stories website but my mom has and she has gotten some really good quality pieces from there.

If you haven’t heard of & Other Stories they’re a European based store that recently made its way stateside. They’re actually owned by H&M Group which of course made me a bit skeptical. How could & Other Stories have all these amazing quality fashion pieces and accessories and be the little sister of H&M? Well, actually that’s not surprising because big companies have to tap into all markets right? H&M Group also owns Cos, which I didn’t even know about until I did some research. Any who & Other Stories prides themselves in doing everything in-house and being shoppable for everyone.

So I ended up going to the grand opening and getting this really cute top and a cute minimal ring. Both were pretty impulsive purchases but the top I just had to have! It goes so well with my capsule wardrobe and my aesthetic as a whole. The quality is pretty amazing and should be because it wasn’t the cheapest. I’d never pay more than $60 for a top normally, but like I said I had to have it! I’m usually pretty transparent on here so if you’re wondering…it was $85 which to some is a pretty penny and to others is nothing.

Excuse these pictures, I don’t have my actual camera and I’m not around any good lighting. There will be better pictures very soon.

I know you all are thinking “that’s just a basic black top.” No, If you guys could just feel how soft and thick this top is then you’ll understand. It’s also one of the most stylish pieces I own now next to my Madewell Sweater Coat. I can’t wait to style it in the next few days…I already have some ideas.

That’s all for this post. Thanks for reading as always.
