A Post About A Super Eventful Weekend

So, this past weekend was a very eventful one. First, I went out for my birthday, then the next afternoon I participated and celebrated my good friend’s engagement.

Friday, I went to the nail salon with my friend so that she could paint her nails accordingly for the celebration and shortly after we went shopping for dresses to change into after our dances. A few hours later, we went to practice one last time before the big day.

After our last practice, we went out to D.C. and danced the night away…without getting too crazy of course. Obviously, I had to show my little birthday outfit, which turned out to very appropriate because it was SO hot out.

The next day, my friends and I got into the traditional Indian/Bengali outfits called a salwar kameez. It was an extremely long day, but it was all so worth it and so much fun! I can’t wait for the wedding!

We took professional pictures and video, which I’m so excited to see when it’s all put together! The bride to be’s outfit and makeup was so stunning that I had to snap a couple of pictures!

Once the girls and I did our choreographed dances, we changed into our dresses that were almost impossible to find at the mall. We ate dinner and then the dance floor was open to everyone…so you know what that meant.

I pretty much slept all throughout Sunday and “reclaimed my time.” Once I finally got out of the bed around 3 PM, I went through all my birthday gifts. I’m so grateful for each and every one of them and can’t wait to talk about them separately in some later posts.

That was my super eventful weekend and while it was so much fun…I am so glad to be back on a normal routine again so that I can blog and film more consistently. Like every year, it feels nice to be another year older and I hope for many more years! Thanks for reading as always.
